January 6 was a bad day. We know this. Not only because of the insurrection, but it was the day we lost our beloved Bengal cat Mooki. In the midst of numbing grief, I knew one thing for certain – I needed to capture the sun rising over Lake Superior on January 7. I hope we can find some solace in the inevitability: The sun will rise again, and it might be a beauty.
